Ahd Dorlin was the second-in-command of Sabre Group, the Shadow Imperium's (and, later, Crimson Empire's) quartet-pilot crack squadron. Hailing from Commenor, Ahd attended the Imperial Naval Academy on Coruscant and graduated with honors. His assignments were wide-based, and eventually he found himself associated with Mahra Sorbek in Sabre Group.
His track record showed him to be a hotshot pilot. Ahd made it clear that luck had nothing to do with his abilities, and credited it to long hours in the simulations as well as studying and accumulating tactics.
He acheived Mahra's former position of Lieutenant Commander when she was promoted to Commander. Shortly after Mahra's promotion to Captain, Ahd obtained the rank Commander. His loyalty to his squadron leader could not be topped.
