"I dont want to look like some uncaring rich person when there are people suffering. It's an insult to decent and honorable people."
— Allyah Nerberrie-Sienar Avonleyh

Allyah Nerberrie-Sienar Avonleyh is the current Queen of Naboo. Although she started off as a simple doctor, she was thrust into the Rebellion on Naboo and eventually went on to represent the planet in the New Republic Senate by 12 ABY. She was forced to resign when Naboo declared its independence from the Republic.

She thought her life as a politician was over until the abdication of Queen Avondale in 17 ABY. Due to Allyah's political experience and dedication to Naboo, she was chosen to become the new Queen after Avondale. Now Allyah struggles to hold it all together against Imperial loyalists, cultists, shadows, and infighting among her constituents.

History[]

Allyah was born on Naboo in the Lake Country to Doctor Hirham Nerberrie and his wife, Loranna, who died in childbirth from a rare blood disease. The Nerberrie family house has ties into most royal houses on Naboo, stretching back to Elenore Tisa, distantly to Padmé Amidala, and even King Narmlé.

The family, by 20 BBY, had grown to dislike politics and preferred to focus on healing instead.

Early History[]

Allyah had a happy life in the Lake Country of Naboo. In the earliest part of her life, when she was not studying, she spent much of her time playing with her friends Jass Nass, Jasmine Carde', and Rojo. Her father was keen on her being a proper well-rounded noble lady and did everything he could to shelter her from the galaxy and the often twisted morality of the Empire. However, Allyah excelled in medicine and, much to her father's dismay, politics.

Around 17 BBY, her father, who was the head of Theed Medical University, was given a new task: to be Queen Kylantha's personal physician. After a few years, Hirham learned of the Queen's plan to kill off all of the Empire's enemies in the system - particularly the Gungans. He began to work in secret with Rythil Mire'; one of Naboo's largest food producers and the Postmaster of Kwilaan Spaceport; to find ways to thwart Kylantha's gruesome ambitions.

This would be a fatal mistake and one that would set a collision course between Allyah and the Mad Queen.

Tragedy[]

In the same year as the Battle of Yavin, Queen Kylantha would learn that her campaign against the Gungans had been discovered and that her own doctor had betrayed her to the Rebellion. Hirham tried to find safety in the swamps, with Allyah hidden in the back of his Bongo, but he was intercepted by Imperial forces. A young Allyah, who had managed to make it into the water, watched in terror as her father was taken off by Moff Yancey Atris.

A few hours later, Boss Jis one of lesser Gungan elders, found Allyah and, with Rythil's help, got Allyah back home to her nanny without anyone knowing she had seen her father being dragged away as a criminal. Allyah also witnessed Moff Atris poisoning several of the Kaadu corralled near Otoh Gunga, which would end up just being the start of a terror campaign against those who resisted Imperial rule.

In the following week, Humans and Gungans alike began disappearing all over Naboo, only for them to reappear, their bodies displayed in the center of every town on the planet, to show the populace what would happen to those who crossed the Empire. Among the bodies found in Theed was that of Hirham Nerberrie, who had been beaten severely, stabbed, and finally killed with Gile Poison. This truly left Allyah as an orphan, left to be cared for by her nanny, Vora, and placed under the official guidance of Rythil Mire'.

This tragedy would set Allyah on a course to put right all the things that were wrong on Naboo.

Kylantha's Regin[]

Under the reign of the Mad Queen Kylantha, many tried to keep young Allyah safe, but she was watched closely by the Queen and the Empire, who both feared she might some day rise up against them. During this time she entered Theed University, majoring in medicine and, with some pushing from Rythil, politics and law as well.

Allyah spent the next six years (taking an extra year for the extra major) engrossed in her studies. She also made friends and contacts with the Theed Underground; the Rebel group her father had been affiliated with. Because of her father, and the fact that she was willing to recruit almost anyone, and run quiet missions to support the many subversive groups based in the city of Moenia, she rose quickly through the ranks as a symbol to many of what what a leader should be.

It was also during this time that Allyah met Annora, a nice girl who seemed to do her best to not talk about where she came from. Although the two were initially rivals, Allyah eventually found out that Annora was the illegitimate daughter of Rythil Mire' and the two bonded over being effectively parentless. At one point Allyah even tried to help make peace between Annora and Rythil, but to no avail.

At the end of their time at the university, both girls graduated at top of their classes. The two then found employment at the Theed Medical Center; Allyah specialized in general medicine and surgery, while and Annora worked at the trauma center. During this time, Allyah began to go undercover at the hospital, and around Theed, making contact with other with the Queen's chief handmaiden, Jasmine. Slowly they began to build a network of people interested in fighting against Kylantha's rule.

Rebellion[]

It Began in Dee'ja[]

As the years progressed, the Mad Queen's attacks become more and more visible until she tried to have Pooja Naberrie assassinated in the city of Dee'ja Peak. The failed attack on Pooja's life spurred the rebels into taking more aggressive action. The Theed Underground had reformed with Rythil Mire', Jasmine Carde', and Allyah leading the resistance. They began to fight against the utter destruction wrought by Moff Atris and Queen Kylantha, but things really came to a head in 12 ABY.

Operation: Wildfire[]

After two years of guerilla-style attacks on Imperial interests and plans, the rebels on Naboo knew they could not with stand a protracted war with the Empire. The leaders of the various rebel factions decided to draw the Imperial forces in several different directions and break them down with simultaneous attacks on multiple fronts. This ambitious and dangerous plan would become known as Operation: Wildfire and it involved attacks on every city on Naboo at once.

In the meantime, Allyah who had become an outspoken opponent of the Empire and the Queen, used herself as bait to distract Kylantha. Jasmine Carde' pretended to capture Allyah in Theed and brought the girl before the Queen. As Kylantha tried to decide how to kill the young doctor who had been a uniting force against her and the Empire for so long, Jasmine secretly allowed Rythil and his forces in through the back passages. With the help of most of the handmaidens, the rebel forces overtook the Imperial forces in the throne room just as Kylantha was about to poison Allyah like she had done to her father many years before.

Kylantha, upon seeing Jasmine's betrayal, attacked her with a gun full of darts of lethal Gile poison. The two struggled for the gun, but it was knocked out of their reach when the Queen headbutted Jasmine. Allyah picked up the gun and hit the Queen over the head with it, knocking her out, and allowing Rythil and the rebels to arrest her.

After Naboo was freed from Imperial rule, Kylantha would be sentenced for her numerous crimes and sent to Naboo's penal colony to live out the rest of her days. Jasmine would be elected as the new Queen and took a new name per Naboo tradition, becoming Queen Avondale. She then petitioned to join the New Republic, with Allyah becoming their first senator since Pooja Naberrie.

Political Career[]

Allyah served in the New Republic Senate with fellow senators such as Jacen Zarovich and Emphrates Tilden and even got elected to the High Council. Unfortunately her political career took place during the ill-fated administration of Prime Minster Mikhal Mansar, who would end up being executed after the Empire, under Emperor Damascus, managed to retake Coruscant. She was there when Senator Jeff Proudmore took over the New Republic and made himself the new Prime Minster of the New Republic. This did not sit well with many, including Allyah, who was then sent to the Loris Empire on behalf of the New Republic and Naboo. Traveling with her was her cousin Tabetha Sunstar, and her children Callista Sunstar and Judrin Sunstar. It was during this visit that Damascus noticed Tabetha and her children and, unbeknownst to Allyah, her family had been made a target.

Proudmore's treachery was also reaching its height as he threatened even those within the New Republic who were not happy with his leadership. Proudmore's growing instability caused Queen Avondale to reconsider being part of the New Republic and she eventually declared the Naboo would become independent once again. This effectively ended Allyah's career as a senator.

She didn't have long to dwell on it however as Allyah was given a new responsibility as the new head of Naboo's diplomatic corps and she became the chief envoy to the Loris Empire. Naboo would become a protectorate under Loris and even gave their leader, Esran Croft, possession of the Emperor's Retreat, still intact on the Gallo Mountains of the planet.

As part of the Royal Diplomatic Corps, Allyah was not only an ambassador, but also attached to the Royal Medical Corps, so she could take part in the Medical Mercy Missions that were sponsored by the government of Naboo. Around the same time, Queen Avondale received a call for help from the planet Lianna, which was locked in the throes of a civil war. Allyah was chosen as the person to lead the recovery efforts and potentially help to settle the civil war.

Meeting Raith Sienar II[]

The civil war on Lianna was due to Raith Sienar being ousted from Sienar Fleet Systems by his son, Raith Sienar II. Allyah first met Raith Sienar II when she went to work in the medical center on Lianna and he was suspicious of a former New Republic senator doing mercy missions on his homeworld. Allyah herself was suspicious of Raith, knowing his family's history. It took some time, but a friendship developed between the two over their shared revulsion over the horror of what the civil war was doing to the people of Lianna.

That friendship, surprisingly, soon turned to love.

At first the two tried to keep the relationship secret, even from Raith's mother, Valles Santhe, who had wondered about the change in her son's personality. Soon, because of Raith's father and an ex-girlfriend of Raith's, the two were outed.

Allyah was pregnant with Raith's daughter, Rachel, when they faced their first set of problems. First, Raith's father, who was against the relationship, broke out Queen Kylantha from prison on Naboo and secretly set out to destroy Allyah by killing her and getting his company back in one fell swoop. He attempted to put Allyah under enough stress to kill his unwanted grandchild, including leaking the news to Queen Avondale and Allyah that the Death Star III, which had allowed Damascus to restore the Empire's power, had been built by Sienar.

Wedding Disaster[]

Despite the attempts to destroy their relationship, Allyah and Raith set their wedding for the upcoming summer in the Lake Country at Varykino Villa. It was decided by and agreed to by the Naberrie family and the Queen as a proper place for the event since it was a state occasion and access could be controlled better.

With Queen Kylantha on the loose, and Moff Atris and Raith Sienar looking to kill everyone there, especially the bride, preparations were made with top security in mind. Delegates from every major government including Loris, the New Republic (who Naboo was starting to heal relations with), and a representative from the Empire (newly freed from the tyranny of Damascus).

Among the delegates were Delth Ardin who, with Nichalus Dreadstar had freed Callista and Judrin Sunstar from an Imperial Dark Side Academy. The rescue went a long way to heal Naboo's relations with the Empire and the New Republic. However the mother of the Sunstar children, Tabetha, was still missing and sealed in carbonite somewhere. Raith announced he and Allyah would take the two children under their guardianship until Tabetha could be recovered.

Rythil Mire' walked Allyah down the aisle as he had been like a father to her after the death of Hirham. The ceremony was presided over by a Naboo holy man while her friends Jass Nass, Jasmine Carde', and the Sunstar children watched. Meanwhile, an old friend of Allyah's from the senate, Jacen Zarovich, who recently moved to Naboo due to loss of his family and his home, also attended and would become eventually become like a grandfather to Allyah and Raith's unborn daughter, Rachel.

It would be after the bride and groom said their vows that Kylantha and her group struck, attacking the wedding and kidnapping Allyah and taking her to the Theed Palace. While Raith, Queen Avondale, and many other wedding attendants raced to stop the new threat from the forces loyal to Kylantha, the Mad Queen dosed Allyah with what she thought was a lethal dose of Gile Poison. By the time Raith and his allies were able to reach Allyah she was near death. While everyone else dealt with Kylantha, Raith went after Moff Atris, who fled an old Imperial base in the swamps of Naboo owned by Raith's father.

Kylantha had Allyah tied up in the throne room, to the throne itself, but Jasmine was able to come in from a secret passage during the fight with the Mad Queen and shoot her with a life-altering dose of Gile Poison. With Kylantha incapacitated and in custody, Queen Avondale went to work quelling the rebellion Kylantha's followers were trying to stir up in Theed and Harte Secur.

During this time Raith tracked his father and Atris to the swamps where they where neither were ever heard from again. With permission from Loris, Naboo turned over the Mad Queen to the New Republic who sent her to life in Kessel.

Despite being given a lethal dose of Gile Poison, Allyah was saved due to Queen Avondale storing an antidote to the poison in a secret location in the throne room - a precaution she took after her past experiences with it. Thanks to the antidote and the help of a doctor, Allyah's life was stabilized, but she wouldn't regain consciousness until a week later. However, even though the poison didn't kill her, the poison would end up having lasting effects on Allyah and her daughter.

Six months after the wedding, after a difficult pregnancy and premature labor that nearly killed mother and child, Allyah gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Rachel. After the delivery, Annora Mire', who had become Allyah's personal physician, told the pair about the damage the poison had inflicted on both mother and child. Both would need to have their blood purified every so often and Allyah was advised against having any more children.

Rachel would go on to have an unusual bond with her mother and a very strong connection to the Force. Callista and Judrin fell in love with Rachel and effectively became her older siblings. The family would spend the next four years traveling between Naboo and Lianna.

Return to the New Republic/Fall of Queen Avondale[]

In late 15 ABY the New Republic sent Naboo native Alyesa Praxon to determine the likelihood of the planet returning to the Republic. At first Queen Avondale was resistant to the idea, as she still remembered the tyranny of Proudmore, but with the help of Raith working with her on one end and Praxon on the other, Avondale eventually relented and allowed Naboo to rejoin the New Republic. With the support of the Queen, Allyah, Raith, and the Naboo Royal Advisory Council, Praxon was chosen as the new senator for Naboo. Allyah was elated about the decision, as she never wanted to return to politics again.

In early 17 ABY Queen Avondale discovered she was pregnant from a secret affair she was having with an Imperial captain named Jacen. At first she did all she could hide it, but after a fight with the palace controller, Galen Renthro, he discovered the Queen's condition. He then proceeded to use his considerable power and knowledge of Naboo law, and an ancient rule of morality, to get the queen removed from office.

With Avondale's poll numbers plummeting from not allowing a vote on Naboo's return to the New Republic, and her unmarried pregnancy, calls for her abdication began. Avondale had no choice but to submit to political pressure and resigned from her position (although Raith managed to make sure that only a select four people knew who the father was). With Queen Avondale's abdication, a series of new elections were called to find her replacement.

Queen Avonleyh[]

Fearing what would become of Naboo while it was still in a fragile state from re-entering the New Republic, Rythil Mire' quietly had Allyah Nerberrie-Sienar placed on the ballot without her knowledge. He then worked to keep what he had done secret until he could convince Raith to get Allyah to run for Queen. Allyah was initially dead set against it but, after much convincing by both men, she agreed to run. Afterwards she and Raith were shocked to learn not only had Rythil already submitted her name, he had even set others to work across the system to work on her election campaign.

The news of Rythil's preparation caused Allyah to rethink the whole thing and withdraw her name, since she felt pushed into the situation and Rythil had always seem to manipulate her into political situations. However she saw her people divided and, fearing another revolution, she resolved to go through with the election.

Allyah's campaign mainly stuck to the fact that she was loyal to Naboo and its people, all of them, and her wanting it to heal resounded with the population. Many remembered how she struggled with them through past troubles. Even with her marriage to Raith, many on Naboo still considered Allyah as one of them. Despite facing criminal elements, Imperial loyalists, and a few others that tried to run against her, Allyah won the election with an overwhelming majority.

Once elected she was no longer simply Allyah. Due to the Naboo tradition for monarchs, and her own safety, she took a state name: Avonleyh. She was now no longer just one person but instead Allyah, wife and mother, and Avonleyh, Queen of Naboo, who took the throne in late 17 ABY.

Attack on Lianna[]

A day after Allyah's coronation, Raith was recalled to Lianna to oversee a security issue. Allyah and Rachel accompanied him for medical treatment as well as to monitor a new medical issue for Allyah that Annora had found. Allyah had barely finished greeting everyone who had come to meet her and Raith at Sienar Headquarters, when an alarm sounded and forced everyone to run for their lives. As it turned out, someone had set the self-destruct for the building. Thankfully with the help of Annora, Villes Santhe, and a new friend, Marreen D'Tan, everyone was able to make it to a ship and evacuate before the building imploded.

While the incident with with the building was being investigated, Raith decided to reveal a secret to Allyah about a project he and Annora had been working on for years; something that had been a dream of Allyah's for for a long time: MedStar. It was deliberately named after the MedStar-class Frigates of the Galactic Republic, that had operated as mobile medical centers during the Clone Wars. The new incarnation was meant to be very much the same and were being sent down to help in the aftermath of the self-destruct.

The destruction of the headquarters served to put Raith's leadership of the company in doubt, forcing him to return the company to the Empire's grasp as a show of stability. Allyah worried about her husband's future and if the recent move to work with the Empire again would prevent him from returning to Naboo with her. She soon began to feel ill all the time and went to see Annora about the latest development to her health.

Sienar's New Hope[]

It turned out that Allyah was dehydrated and her blood was showing strange results. For some reason this caused Annora to become very angry with Raith before she revealed the reason why: two tiny heartbeats coming from Allyah. She was pregnant with twins, despite being told that having any more children could severely impact her health.

The revelation led Raith's mother to remove him from the leadership of Sienar Fleet Systems and place him in charge of the Sienar Corporation, a much more politically neutral company. Without the presence of Imperial overseers to answer to, there would be no obstacle to Raith returning to Naboo to be with his family.

Reuniting the Family - Operation Phoenix[]

Upon returning to Naboo things took a strange turn.

First, Galen Renthro unexpectedly attacked Judrin, which caused his sister Callista to defend him by choking the palace coordinator with the Force. No one was able to stop her until an old friend of Allyah's cousin Tabetha, Jedi Master Daer'Gunn, stepped in and stopped the girl from killing the old man.

The Jedi explained that he had come to Naboo because he had sensed the Sunstar children through the force and was worried that they seemed to be heading down a dark path. He requested to look into the children and Allyah agreed, giving the Jedi a place to stay while he tried to help the children.

The next morning Daer'Gunn began working with the children, but the oldest started by challenging the master to prove his connections...
