Discovered and colonized less than ten years ago, Armitage is only now becoming self-sufficient. One point of interest is a Patriot-run prison for Force-using criminals, from which Colonel Siriss Cortann and others escaped; not far away is the place where Ashin Varanin killed La-Reia Beorht. The prison is a multi-layer underground facility serviced by a single central turbolift. Its defenses are extensive, and it is rumored that some deep cells contain ysalamiri. The passages are guarded by variable-gravity traps, sleeping gas, potent sonic weapons and KR0 Stone Soul droids.
In 18 ABY, Varanin, Asemir Lor'kora and Akain Karna assaulted the prison with an eye to staging a prison break.
