The Battle of Aquaris took place immediately following the Battle of Woostri. The Mandalorian First Assault Fleet, with its victory at Woostri, moved onward with minimal resting time, to strike at Aquaris. Aware that the deeper into the invasion path they got, the heavier the Xen'Chi's defenses would be, this battle would prove to be tougher than their previous.

The Battle[]

When the Mandalorian First Assault Fleet entered the system, they were greeted with a larger defense force. Regardless, however, the Xen'Chi forces in space were still overwhelmed by the might of the Mandalorian war machine that was pitted against them. Instead of fighting their way to the world below, however, this time the Mandalorians made a straight break for the only surface that the watery world had to offer. Gambling the situation to be similar to that of the Battle of Mechis III, the move worked, as the orbiting Xen'Chi forces were more concerned about the superior firepower than the landing forces. It was a mistake they would pay for to the bloody end.

While the fleet battle above engaged, the surface battle was divided in two - Garen Starfall lead his group of elite commandos to the government center and staged a daring diversion from there. Aeorn Mors, the leader of the main assault force, however, lead a heavy armor component, backed by Nedth Dinsan's shock troopers, against the main Xen'Chi force. Garen's diversion had spread out the Xen'Chi thin enough where the main attack force was capable of penetrating enemy lines.

However, the diversion transformed into disaster, and a daring recovery plan was set in motion by Cadden Blackthorne himself, leading a squadron of Gladiator Assault Fighters and two Constable-class Enforcement Cruisers. Garen and his surviving comrades were extracted to safety, and from there Cadden lead the aerial assault on the remaining Xen'Chi forces, and touched down to observe the mop-up.

While the death toll was not substantial, it was more than what the Mandalore was willing to accept, and he set in motion to guarantee a clean victory in the next battle.
