The Battle of Balzac was the first battle in a series of two which aimed at ending the Durgasi Conflict. It was also the first battle where the Confederate Drop Troopers deployed the Mark IV Power Armor and the Mark IVb Boltgun.
The Battle[]
The battle began when Silver Coil Fleet under the command of Vice Admiral Linda Evans assaulted the Balzac system. The naval defenders surrendered immediately, but Evans was forced to initiate a ground assault to capture Balzac itself.
Evans landed some 18,000 drop troopers on the two continents. The fearsome skills and weaponry of the drop troopers, combined with surgical strikes of Special Boat Service operatives ensured an easy victory. Twelve hours of the initial assault, the last Durgasi surrendered.
