The Battle of Bandomeer took place not long after the bloodbath that was the Battle of Mandalore. It consisted of a well coordinated Mandalorian counter-offensive against the Xen'Chi's victory at Mandalore, though that victory came at the cost of every single Xen'Chi involved in the battle.

This battle, however, marked a new wave of Mandalorian offensives against the Xen'Chi. Separate from Operation: Dissection entirely, Bandomeer was to be the first Xen'Chi-controlled planet that the Mandalorians would conquer, instead of simply eradicate Xen'Chi presence from. Mandalore Cadden Blackthorne devised a strategy to take any fighters capable after Bandomeer was to be liberated, and turn them into Mandalorian Warriors in an intense, short training regimen. Thus, the end of the Battle of Bandomeer marked the beginning of a new wave of Mandalorians, and the initiation of the Mandalorians' Operation: Hammerfall.

The Battle[]

Prelude[]

"We will hold the communications center, or die trying. If we die, we will die with honor."
Jeston Kadil to Kyr Aden.

Two days prior to the battle, Kyr Aden led the Shadow Warriors on a successful infiltration run on Bandomeer. There, they struck an alliance with the Bandomeer Resistance, enlisting the aid of Kytra Dorien and her comrades. The Mandalorians then turned their sights on the Bandomeer defenses. Nine of the twelve Shadow Warriors raided the communications center three hours prior to the battle, and overcame the Xen'Chi presence there.

In the meanwhile, Kyr and his two Shadow Warriors, with the aid of the Resistance, staged a chaotic rebellion on the surface, to take the attention away from the communications center. The rouse was a success, to a factor, and held off the Xen'Chi long enough for the true battle to begin.

The Attack[]

When the Mandalorian First Assault Fleet struck Bandomeer, the Xen'Chi could do little more than scramble into a defensive position. On queue, the communications center failed for the Xen'Chi, causing them to fight on their own. Without the ability to call for help, they were doomed to the Mandalorians' space superiority.

Garen Starfall led the attack in space on a Basilisk War Droid, where he was at the head of the blockade runners that were due to land or strike at the surface. Leaving the space battle to more advantageous hands, he proceeded planetside, where he continued to fight toward the space port, where he intended to capture the structure singlehandedly.

Kyr and the Resistance were conducting guerilla warfare across the entire city, and a concentration of conflict was growing near Garen's position.
