The Battle of Trieron was one of three battles that were part of the Cult of Shadow's targeted efforts to completely eliminate the Cult of Light; a peaceful splinter group of the dreaded Charon Death Cult. In order to ensure the swift destruction of the Cult of Light, the battle occurred nearly simultaneously with two other battles: the Battle of Chalacta and the Duel on New Holstice. These three battles took place during the War of Darkness and would make up the bulk of what would later be known as the Cult of Shadow's Charon Campaign.
