The Battle of Woostri took place but a couple weeks after the Battle of Taylon and the Second Battle of Mechis III. It bore witness to the first mission that the Mandalorian First Assault Fleet would partake in.
The Battle[]
When the Mandalorian First Assault Fleet jumped in-system, it took the Xen'Chi defenders completely by surprise. Within moments, the Basilisk War Droids, Basilisk-class Assault Fighters, and two squadrons of Kimogila-class Heavy Fighters engaged the enemy fighters. The dogfight drew the attention of the two frigates guarding the planet, which lured them directly into a carefully planned and precisely-executed trap.
The distraction provided by the fleet allowed the ground troops to break through the relatively small blockade, and land on the surface, where a fierce exchange of fire ensued. Within hours, however, victory was imminent for the Mandalorians.
