"You’d have to drag me off the Champion kicking and screaming before I would ever consider giving up my command for another ship."
— Davit Jipper

The Champion of Juoi was originally part of a purchase from the Corporate Sector Authority by the Sovereignty of Juoi to help supplement its defense force. Going under the name Proclamation, and assigned to protect the space above Juoi, it seemed as though the ship was fated to fade into obscurity. However, thanks to the actions of her captain, Davit Jipper, and her crew during the Battle of Juoi, the Proclamation would quickly distinguish itself as the finest ship in Juoi’s navy.

Renamed the Champion of Juoi for managing to single-handedly destroy two Imperial corvettes and a Nebulon-B frigate during the clash, the ship would be catapulted into even greater heights of fame after being assigned to help the Jedi, Tulsar Leidias, track down the Darksider known as Sivter. The Champion ended up becoming Juoi’s ambassador to the galaxy as it visited countless worlds in the hunt for Sivter. It also became a second home for Tulsar and his daughter, Kalja.

The ship would be a constant and reliable presence for much of Tulsar’s hunt, but would eventually be recalled by Sulimurr to return to Juoi with the advent of the Xen’Chi invasion.

Davit and the crew take pride in the fact that the Champion is almost entirely stock. Aside from an improved hyperdrive, the ship is not modified in any way. They know their ship inside and out and take great pains to make sure that it is always in top condition; always ready to go into battle the next time Juoi calls upon its champion…
