Ciaron Tan'ar was born to middle-class parents, and was taken from her parents at the age of 7 and trained in the Tak tradition. Apprenticed to Baen Talal, she was eventually promoted to Tak Blade, and took Anora-Than and Emarin Cronos as her apprentices.
In 17 ABY, she briefly visited the Jade Empire, alongside Rhiannon DeVij, Talia Brunesi and Emarin Cronos, to help that nation track down a group of dangerous Dark Siders. Shortly after, she took Tas'hn'eer as her third apprentice.
By 41 ABY, she was training Morlath Uran.
