Control Poison is a Dark Side ability that allows a Forcer who is afflicted with some form of bodily contamination to either neutralize it or adapt their body to it. It is considered a Dark Side power since the Darksider forces their will over the poison and their own body. Some types of substances, such as Sith Poison, can be utilized by Control Poison users to make use of the substance's benefits while negating its setbacks. It is thought to be a corruption of the Light Side abilities of Cure Poison and Detoxify Poison.
Some have found a way to build upon this power further by turning their own blood into a poison by continuously exposing their bodies to such contaminants and then altering their body instead of simply negating the poison.
The basics of the ability was originally developed by Uvon Okdoro as a way to fight the Arcona weakness to salt addiction. He would then spend several years refining the power so that it could be used to control any harmful substance. When Uvon was recruited into the Cult of Shadow, Control Poison soon became a required ability for new members to learn to achieve the rank of Disciple - necessitated in part by the poisonous atmosphere of Arcanix.
