A subsidiary of Killian Shipyards, Dumarki Design Systems was the biggest technology company in the Black Star Confederacy. It was responsible for all research and development, and was considered an important asset.
There were numerous design teams at work at the same time, cranking out out hundreds of designs for armed transports, battle cruisers, assault shuttles and even battle stations every year. The Confederacy then snapped up the best of the designs.
In addition to this, there were departments working on improving propulsion systems, weapons systems, and experimental prototypes.
History[]
Dumarki Design Systems was founded in 33 BBY by the businessman Dan Markson. To this day, his family runs the company, the current CEO being Marksons grandson.
Since its founding, Dumarki Design Systems grew from a small technology company to a technology powerhouse. A subsidiary of Killian Shipyards, the company aided in the designs of such powerhouses as the Dread-class Battle Ship, the Apocalypse-class Command Ship, and the Praxeum-class Strike Cruiser, and developed the technlogy necessary to make these dreams reality.
In 18 ABY, roughly half the design teams were lost in the scouring of Fuller. The company subsequently relocated to Killian.
Dumarki was instrumental in the development of the Foederati-class Star Destroyer in 25 ABY.
A subsidiary of Killian Shipyards, Dumarki Design Systems was overseen by the Defence Council.
