- "I may be half your age, but I'm twice as qualified!"
- — Elysia Tyrsia Avori
Elysia Tyrsia Avori is the current crown princess of the Hapes Consortium, otherwise known as the Chume'da. She is more informally referred to simply as Elysia Avori or as Ely by close friends and family. The first two parts of her name are Ancient Hapan that mean "Absolute Divine Ruler" when combined, which is a description she's expected to fulfill once it is her time to rule the Hapes Cluster.
She is the eldest daughter of the current Queen Mother, Jenarvia Avori, and her consort, Arien Garix. It's often stated that Elysia has combined the most fearsome traits of her parents into one body. She has her mother's political acumen plus her father's cunning mind and his great power in the Force. She can often come across as distant and haughty, but this is mostly a mask she wears as the Crown Princess. When she's allowed privacy from the public eye, she shows great love for her parents and her younger siblings.
For those outside of her family, Elysia does have a well-known reputation for being impatient with anyone who doesn't measure up to her high expectations. This has caused at least one significant issue when it comes to the royal succession since Elysia has rejected every suitor that has tried to become her consort. She has been pressured to accept someone for the sake of the throne, but Elysia has so far steadfastly refused and insists on finding someone worthy of her attention.
Biography[]
A New Royal Lineage[]
Elysia was born about a year after the end of the Hapan Civil War with the express purpose of starting a new royal lineage. Her younger sister, Nyalla, and younger brother, Marek, soon followed as a means to make sure the Avori right to the throne would remain secure in case anything were ever to happen to her or their mother. However, as the first-born, the pressure of succession was placed on Elysia first and foremost.
As soon as she was old enough to learn, Elysia began to be instructed in everything she would need to know to be the next Queen Mother by her mother and the House Avori Majordomo, Casara D’Lacc. In fact, due to how busy Elysia's mother was as Queen Mother, it would often fall to Casara to handle the bulk of the teaching and that created a familial bond for the young Elysia. It's lost to time whether it was Elysia or her younger sister, Nyalla, who first insisted on calling Casara "Grandmother", but Elysia was the first to shorten it to "Grandma Cassie." For her part, Casara was reluctant to accept the title, but relented when even the Queen Mother insisted that it fit. However, it was agreed to only use the grandmother title in private.
More Training[]
As Elysia got older, it was discovered that she had inherited her father's ability to use the Force. Although Hapan culture was slowly changing to accept Jedi thanks to her father's actions during the Hapan Civil War, there was still plenty of prejudice among the Royal Houses to make things difficult. It was decided that she would be taught in secret by her father.
Both of Elysia's other siblings also showed a connection to the Force, but neither of them were as strong as her connection. As such her father spent the bulk of his time teaching her everything he could. Elysia took to the training well and, despite her father's sometimes harsh methods and exacting standards, she was able to impress him with how quickly she could learn her lessons.
The Duties of the Crown[]
Eventually Elysia's siblings grew old enough that they had to find careers of their own. Nyalla was the first to go, enrolling in the Hapan Navy. Then Marek into Hapan Intelligence. Both seemed to thrive in their new roles, and while Elysia could keep in touch with them through holochat, it wasn't the same as seeing them in person. She began to feel a certain detachment and loneliness that was only mildly helped by interacting with her parents and Grandma Cassie. She simply had no one that she felt she could confide in, so she had to put on the persona of the crown princess for longer amounts of time.
And then came the news that shocked her most of all, the death of Casara D’Lacc. It meant one less person in the world that she could interact with as a normal person. While Elysia was glad it meant her siblings would be returning for the funeral, in the long run they would only be around for a few days.
What Elysia didn't expect, however, was the chain of events that Casara D’Lacc's death would ultimately cause...
Skills[]
- "It’s not going to be easy to find someone with the strength of will to match Elysia, never mind someone with sufficient power and influence."
- — Miriya Avori
Elysia has been trained from birth to take on the responsibilities of a Queen Mother, as such she has received the best private instructors to be found in all of the Hapes Cluster. She is highly intelligent and well-versed in a variety of subjects. Her father also regularly tests her with Arabanthian thought puzzles to improve her cunning and lateral thinking. Additionally, she has daily private training sessions with her father to improve her abilities with the Force and lightsaber skills.
Force Powers[]

Elysia being trained by her father.
Elysia has full command over the Core Powers. She's also in the process of learning some of the more esoteric powers that her father, Arien Garix, has learned, such as Force Deflection and Malacia. At the insistence of her father, one of the first advanced powers she mastered was Control Poison in order to safeguard against that potential method of assassination.
Elysia has also shown herself to be highly perceptive in recognizing the effects of other Force powers and finding ways to neutralize any sway they might have on her. Her mental defenses are strong, making it quite difficult to read her thoughts or influence her actions.
Despite the fact that Arien is a Darksider, he has been careful not to use a lot of Dark Side methods in his instruction of Elysia. The reason for this is because he is acutely aware that the Dark Side can be overwhelming for those not used to the kind of power it can provide.
Lightsaber Forms[]
Elysia has been instructed in Form I: Shii-Cho and Form II: Makashi since those are the only two forms her father considered to be worth his time. She uses a standard lightsaber since she makes greater use of Shii-Cho than her father.
