"I've never met a girl quite like you, Isis."

"Believe me, if I could take it back I would."

— Gabriel Raines and Isis Sinclair

Gabriel Raines is a purveyor of lost artifacts, aka treasure hunter although these artifacts are not always lost and they're not always artifacts. Truth be told he's a thief and quite a famous one at that. He's pulled off some fairly high caliber heists including the Imperial Museum of Antiquities at which he first met Isis Sinclair. His infatuation with the young bounty hunter has led to a series of encounters akin to a game of cat and mouse. Raines will purposefully engineer a situation that will force Isis to chase him. It's a game he has enjoyed for quite some time until she mysteriously vanished from the face of the galaxy.

Skills[]

Technical Expertise[]

Raines is well versed in modern and ancient computer technology. He is not an expert slicer by any stretch of the imagination but he knows his way around a computer. He's fairly capable with machinery as well and can often succeed in repairing ancient machinery just enough to get it working again.

Multilingual[]

Raines has an extensive knowledge of many different ancient and modern day languages. He can speak, read and write most languages and is capable enough to use his knowledge to decipher any language with which he is not familiar with a surprising degree of accuracy.

Athletic[]

Raines is surprisingly athletic, he works out every chance he gets and keeps himself fit and trim by going rock climbing... Usually on the side of a building while searching for some ancient treasure or another. He's an excellent free climber and prefers not to carry around safety harnesses with him as the extra weight tends to slow him down.

Weapons[]

Raines knows his way around a pistol and is pretty good in a brawl as well. His suave attitude has often times gotten him into more trouble than he can chew but he always manages to find a way out of it somehow.

History[]

Gabriel Raines.

"Look at this image, you see these statues? There's one in each cardinal direction."
"Cardinal what?"
"Cardinal direction, you know--north, south, east, west... You know what never mind. Just go stand over there and try not to touch anything.
