Golasj Murt is an Amphi-Hydrus mind-walker and beastmaster who has lived for decades on The Pen. When offered the chance to join the Dark Council, Murt hopped at the chance.
History[]
Golasj grew up fighting and dominating the Force-sensitive predators of The Pen, as well as the Korunnai. Only later in life, compelled by Velok, did she find common cause with the Korunnai and other humanoids. Apart from those members of the Dark Council who are secretly part of None Whatsoever, Golasj is the only one who knows Velok's true name. She is not aware of None Whatsoever, but has her suspicions about the authenticity of the Dark Council's founding legend. As a result, the powerful mind-walker is never allowed near Barkus, who knows some of the secrets involved but is too junior to resist her subtle telepathy.
She became a full member of the Dark Council roughly a year before its invasion of the Sith Empire, and was thus a founding force in the Sith'ari Centrality. Her legions of Amphi-Hydrus make up a significant fraction of the Central Command Operatives and Centrality Sith Assassins.
After spending a year teaching aboard the Stormblessed, she transferred to the new Sith Academy at Ziost and became a senior teacher there based on power, manipulation and prestige. She had to fight to be taken seriously, due to her lack of humanoid physiology or lightsabre, but she quickly established her place just below the Headmaster, Rolf Valkner.
She is close with Akora Niathal, and quick to make connections with other nonhumanoid Sith. Even trainees from nonhumanoid species can expect a coldly benevolent wall-eyed stare from the amphibian Dark Master.
Powers[]
Golasj, despite embracing the Sith philosophy and identity, was not trained as a Sith. Her powers of mind control are in the same league as those of Darth Sirena, Rolf Valkner or Ahkris, and she is a superior telepath even to Kelen Adwar. She is skilled at enhancing the strength and speed of her body, and is a capable telekinetic, but she does not know Force Lightning or how to use a lightsabre. Nevertheless, more than one Jedi has briefly learned not to underestimate the short amphibian even at close range, and the dog-eat-dog environment of Sith academies is nothing compared to the more dangerous areas of The Pen.
Under the tutelage of Ald Sorosel and the Skull Holocron, she has begun to learn Sith alchemy.
