The Harbinger, formerly known simply as the Eclipse became the Crimson Empire's new flagship in 18 ABY. Darth Trayus and a rather large entourage stole the ship from the Galactic Empire during the closing moments of the War of Darkness and the overlapping opening moments of the Shadow War, while it awaited transfer of command from Kuat Drive Yards' officers to the Empire's own. It was one of two ships of the class to be built, and after it was stolen, Kuat Drive Yards opted to terminate any possible future plans to construct more.
