History[]

The Jupitris-Class was one of the first ships ever built by the Kadian Humans, and to date the largest. These ships were built by the hundreds to facilitate a constant flow of mined Helium-3 from Gas Giants as well as other minerals. They are so well engineered that its never crossed any ones mind to design a replacement. During the invasion these ships were nearly wiped out by the CIS forces, killing thousands of civilians. While they didn't participate in any battles, besides the CIS just out right destroying them, three Captains against all odds managed to get their ships safely to the defense fleet, giving them the fuel and materials need to help win the war.

The Jupitris fleet has long been returned to its previous numbers but with hyper drives and other innovations it takes only six of these ships to continue the flow of Helium-3 where it use to take hundreds. The others can be found hauling cargo through out all of the Systems Alliance Space.

Military Use[]

A number of these ships have been converted into supply ships fore strike forces and/or fleets who operate outside of Systems Alliance controlled space. They also act as factories/repair yards, hospitals and a command base. They also have a few limited facilities to give the men and women of the SA a "Home away from Home", where they may experience their own cultures even though they may be thousands of light years from home.

They also are used to move large numbers of ground personal and vehicles, though this was only first done during the Battle of Mon Calamari.
