The Ke'rath-class Cruiser was designed to replace the Skaadi and Njord classes of cruisers in service with the Confederate Navy.
The Ke'rath was created by a design team mostly consisting of Decuri. They modelled their design upon the fierce power of the traditional Decuri God of War, Ke'rath (thus the name). They succeeded. The Ke'rath-class Cruiser was a dedicated assault ship, and like many Kartanin designs, most of its armament was pointed forward. Defense consisted of laser cannons and strong shields, augmented by backup shields.
The Ke'rath had a very fierce, almost feral look, very befitting a vessel named after a deity of war.
In 17 ABY, the class was updated with antimatter reactors and BioComps.
