Komodo Colony was constructed in 1200 BBY and has been maintained and upgraded over the centuries. An independent space colony of the type constructed frequently by the Jadeworlders, it fell under the rule of Clan Sandpanther for the majority of its history. It escaped the Uul’ba-Rai Jihad and was further updated in the years to follow, when it became a key hyperjump point between Joy and Trevel’ka.

Komodo Colony, like many ancient Jade Empire space colonies, gains its artificial gravity from centripedal force and was constructed inside a large asteroid.
