Kuras IV was the fourth and outermost planet in the Kuras system of the Elrood Sector. Kuras IV was a frigid, rocky wasteland located in the system-wide dust cloud known as The Drift.
It was the site of Breggar Lark's base of operations; the Ryn Freyel, along with Arelim Seron, Jag'Tai Vroenik, and the Muir Commonwealth took interest in this remote planet and the crime lord's intentions with it, leading on to something of an adventure.
The caves of Kuras IV were long ago inhabited by the Kurasians, a race of sentient reptilians who destroyed themselves with the weapons they created through their genius. Although they once lived in peace and harmony, the tribes turned on each other when they discovered the notion of weaponry - which they developed in telepathic and physical realms. Their people were devastated, and the few Kurasians who escaped the societal and political death beneath the planet's surface died to the cold on their way to the surface. These bodies were found well-preserved in the ice by Lark and his scientists, and they (and their weapons) were the focal point of his plans for the planet. They were put to rest honorably when the planet was liberated from the crime lord.
