The Kurasian Rebellion began with subterfuge. Arelim Seron, working with the Ryn Freyel and the bounty hunter Jag'Tai Vroenik, infiltrated the criminal organization of Breggar Lark, a small-time crime lord who had stolen the planet Kuras IV from its purchaser, Mashaka Vargo. Lark was interested in the advanced weaponry of the Kurasians, whom he awoke from an accidental state of cryostasis. With Seron, Vroenik, and the Kurasians working from below, and the Muir Corporation and agents of the Solace Colony working from above, Lark was quickly defeated in the First Battle of Kuras IV.
