The creation of the Leeran Alliance was a direct reaction to the Leeran Campaign, during which the Kartanin Dominion conquered multiple independent systems once belonging to the Leeran Empire. Fearing for their independance, several worlds formed a military alliance and prepared to defend themselves against the overwhelming Kartanin Warfleet. However, before the two opponents ever met on the field of battle, the offensive was suddenly halted. When the alliance learned that the Kartanin fleet was being partially recalled to lend aid to the Black Star Confederacy, they sent emissaries to the Ancathra System, and successfully negotiated a truce.

Since then, the alliance has held together so far, and the central command which had been formed from the individual members military made way for a civilian provisional council. It remains to be seen what the future holds for the Leeran Alliance, and whether the uneasy peace with their neighbors will be lasting.

Recently, Altari scouts have observed CEC representatives meeting with allied leadership. So far, all sources indicate that the alliance is forming a new unified Leeran Navy, formed from corellian and other galactic starships.

People[]

Leeran population consists almost exclusively of humans. They differ from baseline humans by the reddish tint in their skin and some minor genetic variations, but nothing of any large degree. Males generally keep their hair short, while females prefer their hair running down to their hips, sometimes even farther. Both genders are fond of intricate face-tattoos. These traditions have held true on most leeran colonies, with only a few individual worlds diverging significantly.
