The Liberator-class cruiser was a warship developed by SoroSuub Corporation and used by the Rebel Alliance during the Galactic Civil War.
The Liberator-class could carry three troop regiments and six fighter squadrons. For a capital ship, the Liberator was diminutive in size, but still found room to host a formidable weapons complement consisting of ion cannons and heavy turbolaser batteries. Utilizing state-of-the-art hull armor, shielding, and drive unit technology, the Liberator was one of the most advanced warships produced during the height of the New Order.
After the end of the Galactic Civil War, the design was incorporated into the Defense Forces of the New Republic and can be seen in various fleets throughout the Republic.
