Grand Marshal Mark Lucas was the Supreme Commander of the Confederate Armed Forces between 15 ABY and 18 ABY. He retired at 18 ABY, 53 years old, and took up a career in business.
He was replaced by High Admiral Eshtemoh Cosimo.
His grand-son, Rodrick Lucas, and his granddaughter, Aryana Lucas, both followed in his footsteps, joining the army.
History[]
Mark Lucas is out of a family with a proud military tradition. Every man - a few exceptions aside - has served in the Confederate Army. Lucas was no different. Upon turning 17, he applied - and was accepted - to the prestigious Black Star Military Academy on Fuller as an Army cadet. He worked hard, and graduated at the top of his class with the rank of Lieutenant two years later. He was then transferred to the 3rd Guard Regiment.
After serving in the 3rd Guard Regiment for three years, he was promoted to captain. Two year later, he was promoted to major for his part in containing the Fuller C riots without the loss of life. He was then transferred to Army Head Quarters as a liaison. At the age of 29, he was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel and given command of the 4th Guard Regiment. When he turned 32, he was promoted to Colonel and transferred to Killian, where he was given command of the Killian 137th Infantry Regiment. A year later, the Killian 137th were involved in ground operations against pirates operating in a nearby system - later identified as the Nemesis system. Lucas earned the Distinguished Service Medal, as well as a promotion to Brigadier General, for his brilliant leadership. He was promoted again at age 35, this time becoming a Major General. He still commanded the Killian 137th after his own request.
That changed during his 43rd year. The Killian 137th, along with many other regiments, were involved in the Battle of Drillaria. This was the first time that Confederate forces saw Kartanin in great number. During the battle, Lucas earned the Confederate Cross, and on the eve of the battle, Lucas was given a battlefield promotion to Lieutenant General, and transferred to Army Head Quarters. When Trueth were promoted to Grand Marshal, Lucas were transferred to General Head Quarters and promoted to General. When Emperor Thorn removed Treuth for incompetence, Lucas was given the highest rank of the Confederacy - Grand Marshal...

Grand Marshal Mark Lucas usually wears a grey Army uniform, the Grand Marshal insignia placed on the right chest. He carries an AT-2 service pistol on his right leg. His grey-brown hair is cut in military style, and his eyes are a soft brown.
