Midpoint Station was designed by a team of engineers working for Blackthorne Enterprises. It was conceived to be a rather large undertaking, measuring at 67 kilometers in diameter and close to 55 kilometers in height, making it among the largest of space stations to ever be constructed. While nowhere near as large as engineering marvels such as Hosk Station, Midpoint was designed for a multitude of purposes in mind, and was to be set as Blackthorne Enterprises' new headquarters.

Located along the Corellian Trade Spine, exactly halfway between Corellia and Yag'Dhul, Midpoint was strategically placed to serve as a popular stopping destination for travelers and military operations alike. As Blackthorne Enterprises was, at least officially, completely neutral, the station was going to establish its area as a no-hostilities zone against all galactic governments. All would be welcome to do business there, from the smaller, independent worlds to galactic superpowers such as the New Republic or Galactic Empire.

However, as property to Blackthorne Enterprises, Midpoint never saw its completion. As Cadden Blackthorne devised his attack against Bilbringi, the station was only partially complete. After the attack, and resulting retribution, Blackthorne was forced to abandon the project, and rather than destroying it, he sold it to the Wild Star Confederacy for a handsome sum of credits.

The Confederacy finished the station, manned it, and made it operational, where it served out its purpose for several years, providing them with the additional income it would rack in.

When the Confederacy fell, the chief administrator, Teron Pol of the station declared its independence and, despite his disassociation, fulfilled the original purposes of the space station an turned it into a completely independent hub for all to visit in a no-hostilities zone. It is unknown if Teron holds absolute ownership over the station or not.
