Nephila Clane, or Neph’ilaklayne was born to a family of Twi’leks descended from prisoners on Nam Chorios. She was born as one in a set of triplets, each being beautiful Lethan girls. They were Oldtimers and at the tender of eight were able to hear the Tsils and were sent to learn from the Theran Listeners. The girls demeanor however left much to be desired and they often ran away from their instructors to play in far flung fields. When they were still children of a tender age a passing smuggler happened by them. He lured them onto his ship with promises of sweets and entertainment and took off stealing the girls. Upon his entry into space he sold the girls to a Pirate Lord who in turn lost them in a bet to a Hutt. In the employ of the Hutts the girls were discovered by Darth Sirena who sent her agent to purchase the girls.
Now firmly in the grips of the Sorceress Sirena the girls were trained in the Sith arts. Together the three formed a deadly and powerful team serving at their mistress's side. Each of the girls received the same training and quickly rose in the ranks to become Sith Knights, however each seemed drawn to a particular style of their own. Nyra was most proficient in fighting and used her sabers to great effect having little patients for the finer arts of the force, Lyna who was the most well rounded and disciplined of the group focusing on controlling the rage and power within her, and Nephila delved more deeply into the arts of seduction and magic learning to manipulate the passions of others to her advantage. She had a gift for using esoteric magical skills and for manipulating others. Nephila was often sent to infiltrate as a dancer where she would use her guile to manipulate people. In one instance posing as a dancer she was able to get an arms dealer who had knowledge of Sirena's Operation and one of his clients to turn on one another wiping out their respective organizations.
