The Neutron Star-class Bulk Cruiser, also called the Battle Horn-class Bulk Cruiser, is an aging design. This class of ship has existed since the time of the Galactic Republic for good reason, the vessel is extremely reliable and rugged. The Neutron Star-class was one of the mainstays of the Rebel Fleet and still manages to find a place with the New Republic. Equipped with reasonable firepower and shielding, this ship is suited for almost any type of operation. The Empire is also known to use the Neutron Star-class Bulk Cruiser to watch outlying systems.
These ships are used by some corporations as part as their security forces for patrol, anti-piracy, and anti-privateer purposes. In addition, many bulk cruisers are put to work as armed freighters thanks to their capable anti-starfighter weaponry and decent-sized cargo holds. Even some mercenary groups use these ships. The Neutron Star-class is usually modified in these cases, since the original design is slow and expensive to keep fueled.
