The Rapier Interceptor is the fastest fighter in the MMA lineup. The vessel is designed to head out to eliminate enemy bombers well before they are able to launch their ordinance. To allow it to fulfill this role, designers mounted two concussion missile launchers, each with a magazine of six, as well as a single laser cannon.
As common amongst MMA craft, equipment hardpoints dot the lower surface of the craft, enabling the fighter to carry additional weaponry or gear, from electronics packages to bombs to extra proton torpedoes or concussion missiles or even external thruster units to increase maneuverability or speed. Typically, though, mounting such external ordinance will lower the performance profile until launched or jettisoned.
