"Our love of the hunt can make us blind to other threats. In many ways, we are a self-indulgent people. If it was at all possible, we would do nothing but hunt and live as nature intended. Now that the galaxy knows of us, that is no longer an option."
— Rashrak

Rashrak (53 BBY) is Barab I's representative to the New Republic. Rashrak (pronounced Raz-sher-auk) is notable among his people for being of a more even temperament than other Barabels. His anger can still carry over in dangerous ways, but it generally takes more to set him off than it does for other Barabels.

He is also a man of strong convictions and will argue his point even if he doesn’t have support from any of the other senators. Like most Barabels, Rashrak is a strong supporter of the Jedi Order and will generally side with their decisions in all matters.

His most distinguishing mark is a scar over his left eye from a past fight that has turned it a dead milky white. He speaks and understands Barabel, Basic, and Huttese with no problems. He wears senatorial clothes styled to resemble battle armor.

History[]

Rashrak is revered among his people as a great warrior. He bore witness to the slavers and safari hunters that ravaged his world and was on the front lines when Shaka-ka organized the Barabel people to drive Planetary Safaris from Barab I.

He worked with the Empire to build Alater-ka and to administer the planet. Unlike a lot of Imperial-controlled planets, the Empire's administration over Barab I was beneficial. When the New Republic took control, Rashrak was picked to be senator.

Most recently he has returned to Barab I to deal with Skarrek's return...
