Rath Kyram was born on Devaron, but discarded his birth name when he took up bounty hunting. The Devaronian bounty hunter took several jobs during his career, some of which were in cooperation with Cadden Blackthorne. Unlike Blackthorne, however, the Devaronian continued his mercenary work for years after the death of Palpatine and Vader.
He and Blackthorne made contact once more circa 15 ABY, when Cadden recommended him to the Mandalorian Protectors for supercommando training. The Devaronian was later adopted into the Mandalorian ranks and was given a new name. He became a supercommando shortly before the Battle of Mandalore, and became a member of the Black Brigade and leader of the Fifth Company after the previous supercommando died in battle. At this point, he obtained the rank of alor'ad (captain) and lead the explosive ordinance specialist division of the Black Brigade in battle.
Because of his past experience as a bounty hunter, Rath often employed unconventional methods. And while he is still learning the Mandalorian way, he has progressed into a formidable Mandalorian and a respected member of the Protectors.
