Biography[]
Early Life[]
Rhyana Torshey was born on Silseris, in 2 BBY. Silseris is a very arid and dry planet there is a lack of large bodies of water. The population of near-humans are arranged in tribes and clans. Rhyana was born into the Oren’trin tribe, and her mother was a high ranking member of that tribe. The Khal’ver tribe was renowned on the planet for the beauty of its women and its people level headedness. They were the diplomats and leaders of the council for the tribe. Their own dance was good as well, the Xav'las. She was brought up in this nomadic environment. Rhyana was taught the hand to hand combat of the tribes and was well versed in blasters and other forms of weaponry
Like Emmali Vaungier before her, she obtained passage on one of the few ships that came to the Silseris system and was, after receiving her parent's blessing, allowed to leave at the age of sixteen. It was 13 ABY.
Moving to different places in the galaxy, she tried to soak up as much as was possible of outside life. She regularly sent messages home, telling her people of everything she had seen and done. It was around the end of 14 ABY that she met members of the Jedi Order at the cantina where she was working as a bartender. When she asked what she could do for them, she was surprised to hear them ask what could they do for her. They revealed to her that she was Force sensitive, which came as a definite shock to Rhyana. They asked if she wanted to be trained as a Jedi, to which she responded yes.
The Dead Bothan[]
- "“Rhyana Torshey.”
“Derek Muir.”
“So you’re to be my master.”
“I just need to know how much your previous master taught you, and we’ll go from there.”" - — Rhyana Torshey and Derek Muir upon meeting each other
The Jedi first put her into a group of late newcomers. Eventually, they decided to pair her with a master as was normal. For some reason, it was decided that she would be apprenticed to Derek Muir, a Jedi Knight and recent Jedi Council appointee. He was, at the time, with the New Republic's 4th Fleet, fighting the Xen'Chi and so she was shipped to his location. Upon reaching him, she found herself immediately attracted to the man, and fought the feeling, knowing that it would not bode well for her future as a Jedi. She knew from previous examples that mixing a relationship and the Jedi Order could be either disastrous or wonderful and she didn't trust herself to end up with the latter. In addition, it appeared that Derek was attached to his Twi'lek friend, Tatya'veronsis.
Also during this time, she meet some famous and soon to be famous Jedi. Onboard the ship with her was Adam Sage, a Jedi Master, and his padawan, Kiel Argent. It was during a sparring match with Kiel that she met the legendary Wosino, the second in command of the 4th Fleet. She also saw that Tatya had her claws deep in her Master. She was split in two by her feelings. On one side, she didn't want to act on what she felt, but as the same time she knew that she was falling head over heels in love with Derek. Derek had only been in a human body for a few months now, and didn't really understand what he was going through with human emotions. He thought he loved Tatya, but that was only because she had been the first woman to be around him when he first became a human. He was realizing now that the feelings he felt for Tatya were nothing compared to what he felt for his padawan.
When Rhyana had finally realized that she was in love with Derek, he was speaking to his friend, Adam Sage, to get another's opinion on the problem before him. While the two were out on patrol in their fighters, the entire fleet came under an attack from a Xen'Chi. During the attack, the two of them were forced down to the ice planet in the system, and cut off from the rest of the fleet. An anomaly in the Force prevented Adam Sage or Kiel Argent from picking up the two stranded Jedi.
Forced to rely on themselves, the two made their way to a cave after salvaging what they could from the two fighters. Derek had been injured when his fighter crashed, and Rhyana insisted that he rest in the tent that night. He refused, on the merit that he was older and she was his padawan. After a short argument, he slept outside. However, during the night Rhyana woke and found him shivering. She brought him into the tent to warm him up. When he woke, feelings and emotions came over her that she knew she'd have to deal with sooner than later. Derek tried to brush her aside but Rhyana was persistent and kissed him. Derek, seemingly angry, left the tent. She was worried that her actions would push him away rather than bring him closer to her. When they both cooled down, she suggested that they head back to the crash site to see if there was anything else they could salvage.
While there, they were attacked by a creature resembling a wampa. After defeating the creature they headed back to their cave. The next day, Derek and Rhyana began work on cutting into the ice of the cave, to make it larger. They fell into a routine where Rhyana would tease and torment Derek, bringing up his Bothan past. Derek's mind reasoned that the only way for them to cut through the tension would be to act on their feelings. He told Rhyana and she agreed with his idea. The two made love in the tent in the cave. The day after, Rhyana found that the tension had gone, but the attraction had not and the two made love again. Derek left the tent to continue work on the cave remodeling, and Rhyana went to sleep. While she slept, she had strange dreams, portents it seemed, of the future. Every one showed her in a serious relationship with Derek, but in some they were Lightsiders and in others they were Darksiders. She was troubled by this and voices that spoke to her. They told her through her visions, that she was pregnant with twins. When she used the Force, she found that the voices were telling the truth. She rushed to tell Derek the news, but was upset and angered by the declaration that Derek made when she reached him.
He had decided that they shouldn't have consummated their relationship. He knew that the New Jedi Order had no qualms with Jedi taking husbands or wives or having children, but he felt there would be a problem if a master had a relationship with his padawan, especially considering the age difference. He told Rhyana. She instantly forced him out of the tent and refused to speak with him for some time, unless it was absolutely necessary. The next day, soldiers entered the cave, taking them to their base. The two Jedi couldn't believe that they hadn't sensed the soldiers before. Furthermore, the soldiers refused to identify themselves or tell them how they had come to be on the planet, which Rhyana had dubbed, the Ice Planet.
When they reached the base, the two of them were put into holding cells for a period of time. After that, they were brought before the leader of the base. In addition to him, they found Tatya waiting for them. She had stayed behind when the 4th fleet had left, determined to find Derek and Rhyana. She got the two of them off world and back to Onderon.
The Nexus at Nexus[]
- "Sit, it's not good for a woman in your condition to be on her feet too long at a time. I should know after two children. The only thing that made it bareable were his foot massages. How far along are you? No more than three months?"
"Twins. H-How did you know?" - — Jola'Edana and Rhyana Torshey onboard the Jedi Flagship "Sunrider"
Upon reaching Onderon, Rhyana and Derek were met by Daer'Gunn and joined a meeting of the Jedi Council. Not all the members were there, but those that were had an interesting proposition placed before them by Kalja Sairu Leidias. During the battle with GAIT, Delth Ardin's soul had been separated from his body and Kalja wished to help Delth's soul reunite with his body. She was asking for members of the Council to travel to Nexus Station to meet with members of the Empire and discuss, amongst other things, a truce between the two.
Since Delth was an Imperial and an infamous Jedi Hunter, this didn't go over to well with the Council, but in the end, they decided that Delth had won for himself a second chance through his actions against GAIT. Daer'Gunn and Kalja were to go on the mission, and Derek volunteered to go as well. Derek put forth that a united front against the Empire would show that they still had allies and friends throughout the far reaching corners of the galaxy, and would provide a defense in case anyone tried anything during the meeting.
Rhyana watched as Derek placed a call through to Tej Muir, Duke of the House of Muir, and asked for the Memnarch's presence. She was interested now in meeting members of Derek's family. She and Derek would travel on the Jedi Flagship to tne Nexus Station meeting, the Memnarch and the Guardian coming as escort.
During the journey, Rhyana met Jedi Master Jola'Edana, a renowned healer who noted that she was pregnant. Torshey was relieved to finally find someone that she could talk to about the upcoming months. Jola helped her face some of her fears and gave her advice. At the end of their conversation, Jola promised that she would keep her pregnancy private, as that was what Rhyana wanted. She was unsure how to tell Derek and she wanted to be the one to tell him herself.
Soon after, the Jedi arrived at Nexus Station and the meeting began.
Trouble brings Company[]
When Kalja told her two padawans, Caitlyn and Akain that they could tour the station if they desired, Derek told her the same thing. Rhyana joined up with the two padawans and they were made a group of four by the addition of Daer'Gunn's padawan, Renato Farani. They left the Jedi waiting area and entered the station proper.
Akain assumed leadership of the group, soemthing that wasn't challenged. The group proceeded through the different levels of the Station. Rhyana was beginning to experience fatigue from carrying her children around, and after a trip to the zoo, where she was painfully reminded of her fear of telling Derek of what was going on, they went to a cafe for some food and drink. While they were there, Caitlyn went to the refresher, where she was attacked by an unknown assailant.
The rest of the group went to see what had happened, Rhyana moving last due to the added weight of her children. When Caitlyn came out, she had some harsh words for Akain who hadn't entered the refresher, but had merely asked her if everything was alright. Akain, due to his personality quirks, became much more subdued, and attempted to return to the Jedi waiting area. Rhyana refused to let him do that and with Caitlyn's help convinced him to stay.
From the cafe, the group moved to one of the many casino's on Nexus Station. This one in particular happened to be run by Dorval Trinivii Jian. The group were attacked again, this time by assailants who came particularly for Caitlyn. When the group managed to escape and came across Jola'Edana and her daughter Kali Vos, the whole group was apprehended by the Nexus Station's security force, NET. While things looked bad for the group of Jedi, the Hutt who ran the Casino stepped in, vouching for their innocence, as long as he got to speak with Caitlyn in private. In the end, NET let the group go, and the Jedi returned to the waiting area.
There, the Jedi in the meeting session with the Empire were out in the waiting area as well, as the meeting had adjourned for a short break. Rhyana explained what had happened to Derek, and Akain and Caitlyn did the same with their master. Renato would brief the grandmaster as to what had happened, so that the people in the meeting would be able to prevent the Empire from using this series of events as a possible argument when the meeting reconvened. Before the meeting could be reconvened however, Lyli Var'nio struck.
Rhyana was not the closest to the "action", she and Derek were farther away from it than anyone else and thus were unable to respond in time to what happened. Rhyana would learn what went down later through tidbits of information from her friends. After what happened, Akain and Caitlyn left Nexus Station for the JSI ship, the Guardian. Rhyana opted to remain onboard the station, even though she could have returned to the Sunrider, despite Derek's encouragement. Even Renato Farani left, heading to the Guardian with Akain and Caitlyn. She didn't know why she made the decision, not at first.
Later she would realize that her two children were affecting her decisions. Jola's daughter Kali also remained in the waiting area, though her mother went in with the rest of the masters when the meeting reconvened. Rhyana kept to herself, choosing to eat and speak with her children. She was eating for three after all. When Delth was awakened, it was her children that told her, she hadn't been paying attention through the Force. She went to speak with Kali, and while she was talking to her, her children gave her more portents of the future.
Kidnapping and the Return[]
Shortly afterward, Kalja Leidias was kidnapped from Nexus Station. The portents that her children had given her had not made it clear who was in danger, but Rhyana was quickly able to put two and two together. It was at that point that she told her two boys that they were no longer allowed to tell her what was going to happen in the future, unless they told her exactly what was going to happen. She couldn't bear to know that she'd had a chance to stop something bad from happening but hadn't been able to because she hadn't had enough information and possibly made a wrong decision concerning it. She took a call from Akain Karna who told her exactly what had happened, at least to the best of his knowledge. He also told her that he and Caitlyn DeVries were leaving to try to help find Kalja. She wished her friend good luck and safety, but was rather shocked by what he spoke of next.
He told her how he and Caitlyn had received a gift of valuable and expensive jewelry, but hadn't known who it had come from. Akain had figured out she was pregnant all this time and working backwards had deduced that her children had been behind the gift. While Rhyana was surprised that Akain had known about her children's existence, she couldn't believe that they had done such a thing. She had realized that they were strong in the Force, but she hadn't thought they were that strong. She reflected on the fact that they'd appeared to her in what they would look like when they were older than her and had still spoken to her like little babies.
Finally, she realized just how powerful her children are, and fear gripped her. She was unsure that she was fit to be the mother to children of that strength. While it made her resolve to quickly find a way to tell Derek, it also made her even more apprehensive about being a mother.
Later, Delth Ardin came to meet with Derek because it appeared that two of the kidnappers had connections with the Muir. Rhyana was there and was a silent partner in their conversation. Derek mentioned something about what he would do if someone he loved had been harmed and hurt. Rhyana listened and watched attentively at this, but nothing gave away whether or not Derek was referring to her in particular or not. Still unable to understand why Derek wasn't able to detect their children through the Force, Rhyana was incredibly hurt by what happened next.
Tatya'veronsis, the Twi'lek Dark Jedi who had helped Joshua Karn bring Derek back from the dead came to Nexus Station. Rhyana hadn't seen the woman since she'd rescued Derek and her from the Ice Planet. She knew that the Twi'lek harbored feelings for Derek and that her master and the woman had been intimate for some time. She feared that Derek was actually in love with her and that everything that he had done with her had been because of the attraction that he'd felt, since he'd been shifted into a human body.
Her fears didn't cease, once Tatya got herself into Derek's quarters. During a meal that the three of them shared, Tatya and Derek ignored Rhyana as they spoke. Rhyana realized that Derek planned on further cementing his relationship with Tatya, and that his words to her back on the Ice Planet concerning the future of their own relationship were final, despite the presence of their children. She didn't realize how uncomfortable he felt during the meal nor the confusion and sadness that he felt when she'd excused herself and gone to her room.
Because of how she perceived things to be, Rhyana knew that she would never be able to bear their children and raise them at the Temple. She refused to subject herself and her children to that. Rhyana made up her mind that she was going to leave the Order and by extension, leave Derek. She wasn't going to return, instead opting for raising the twins on a planet of her choosing. She surrendered her right to happiness with Derek, putting her children's future ahead of that.
Running Away[]
- "Listen, I spoke with Tatya and-"
"I can't stay, really, Derek."
"No, you don't understand."
"I love you, Furball." - — Rhyana Torshey and Derek Muir
After she made this decision, Rhyana knew that she had to act on it quickly, before Derek had the chance to uncover her plans or for her to change her mind. She needed to make the break and quickly. Before she could fully act on it though, Derek and she got onto the Memnarch for transfer back to Onderon. Tatya came with them, after he transfered from the Sunrider, so did Renato Farani. The group came across the Memnarch's commanding officer, Auron Roken, and introductions were made.
While she was happy to see Renato, Rhyana sequestered herself for the duration of the hyperspace jump back to Onderon. She wanted to be able to fully work out the particulars of her plan. She knew that she would need a ship in order to get away from Onderon. Her luck was in her favor. When Tatya had rescused Derek and Rhyana from the Ice Planet, she'd brought them to Onderon on a particular transport. She'd left the transport there for Derek's personal use.
Rhyana knew the access codes to the ship and could use it if she needed to. Now she had her way out and she waited until they reached Onderon to act. After retreating to her personal quarters she waited some time before leaving. She felt wrong for leaving the Order and more importantly, leaving Derek without giving him a proper explanation for her actions, and so she composed and sent a message to Adam Sage who was on the Sage's Destiny at the time, instructing him to give the message to Derek when the time was right.
Unfortunately for her, it turned out that shortly after she sent the message and packed her things, Derek reached out and spoke to Adam Sage. Sage received the message and decided that the time was right. If Derek was able to head things off and stop Rhyana from leaving at all, then it was the best choice of action. Rhyana made it to the door of one of the hangars when Derek caught up with her. They argued for a bit, and she told him that she couldn't properly tell him what was bothering her.
It was around then that she realized that her children had been interfering with how she looked, making it appear to Derek that she wasn't pregnant at all and was still in her normal, svelte appearance. He attempted to tell her what he had discussed with Tatya, how what little of a relationship he had had with the Twi'lek Dark Jedi was over, but Rhyana refused to let him fully explain what had happened. If she had given him the time to explain properly, it was possible that she wouldn't have left. But since she cut him off. She also had walked into the hangar.
She told him that she loved him and then shut the hangar doors, then using the Force, destroyed the controls so that he couldn't open the door. He knew that he could cut through the door, but Derek also realized why Rhyana had chosen this hangar. There was a ship there that both of them had used in the past. Rhyana had the access codes to it. He wouldn't be able to get to the Hangar control area in time to tell them to not give her permission to leave.
Rhyana left Onderon and Derek behind.
Lonely Sojourn[]
She didn't know where she was going to go and what she was going to do, she just knew that she wanted to get away from Onderon. Rhyana's first stop was Kalarba, particularly Hosk Station. Once she was satisfied that she was far enough from Onderon for Derek to possibly try to come after her, even though she doubted that he would, she decided to sit and think about what was going on and what she was going to do. She had no real plan, and she was coming closer and closer to giving birth every day. The children were no longer masking her presence so that she appeared as she was when she was normal, namely, lithe and toned. Before they had only set up the Force Illusion to Derek, but they dropped it completely now. Little did they tell their mother, but Derek was attempting to follow her and they knew that they could bring the disguise up very quickly.
Rhyana knew that the ship that she had taken was a Muir vessel. What she did not know was that the vessel had a tracking system in it, put there by the Muir. When she had taken the ship, Derek had spoken to Tej Muir and had had the beacon activated remotely. Also, he had gotten his hands on a ship that had an interesting background already and was on his way to Kalarba to find her. Because of the pregnancy, her ability to use the Force was slightly off and so she was not able to sense the presence of Vlan Korensan, a powerful Dark Jedi who served Hauc on board Hosk Station. Vlan was the man who had recently killed Derek's brother, Erik.
As she sat in a local pub, having a large meal due to her higher caloric intake requirements, Derek came to the station and while he was searching for Rhyana, came across Vlan. She didn't know that this was happening, though in the back of her mind, she sensed Derek's presence. She didn't sense Vlan's though and she had actually never met him. Little did she know that Derek's meeting Vlan was going to cause disastrous outcomes for her. Once she was finished with her meal, she left and headed back to her ship.
She consulted various star charts and then decided that she was going to go to Eriadu. Rhyana had never been to the planet and she had wanted to visit a few places throughout the Galaxy, but had never gotten the chance. Now, she was looking for the best place for her to have her children and raise them. She wanted a place that was somewhat out of the way, but close to the core of the galaxy. A place that would be safe for them and out of sight of anyone who would do her children harm. Once she had the coordinates in place, she left Hosk Station and Kalarba behind.
Rhyana decided to head to Eriadu next. Since her decisions weren't guided by some overarching desire to see different places, just to get away and maybe in the process find a place where she could give birth and raise her children, she had made the choice to look at a wide variety of planets in the process of running away. Eriadu to her, was not a place where she wanted to raise her children. The planet was heavily industrialized and Rhyana did not see that many redeeming qualities in the planet. She did not want to bring her two boys up in the environment that she saw in front of her. As she walked through Eriadu, she felt a prickling through the Force, but she wasn't sure what it was.
She didn't think that Derek could track her, so she didn't worry too much about it being Derek. She had learned, however to trust the Force. Uneasy about something, she at first thought that it had to do with the fact that she had been incredibly depressed before. There was nothing worse than a Silserian in depression over love. But now, she had a feeling that it was something else, something that promised her more physical pain than emotional anguish. She found a park and sat down on one of the benches to try to figure out what it was.
It was a presence, but it was a presence that she had never felt before, and she didn't know who it was. She used the Force to search the presence out and try to uncover who it was and why this person was coming up on her radar. She found the person, but the person struck at her through telepathy. Rhyana fought back and the two engaged in a mental fight. In the process, Rhyana got the information that she wanted.
The person's name was Asker Vavren and he was here to hurt her.
Deciding that she needed to get to her ship as soon as possible, Rhyana made her way to the spaceport where her ship was docked, keeping alert as to where this person or anyone he was with would attack from. Her children warned her as to Asker's location and she was able to defend herself from his first attack, which would have killed or severely incapacitated her if it hadn't been for the warning. Asker attacked her on a speeder bike and when he got off, he spoke to her, calling her by name, something that didn't surprise her. She had surmised that if she had gotten his name through her Force spike, he could have assuredly gotten hers.
What did surprise her though, was when he told her what he wanted and who he served. His master was Zohmaj Hauc, a man that she was intimately acquainted with, but had never actually met. Hauc was, after all, the man who had made Derek, indirectly, into a human. Asker informed her that Hauc was after her, but he didn't want her dead. Rather, he wanted her alive, because his real goal was to obtain the two children who were growing in her womb.
She knew that she had to do something. She was a mother faced with someone threatening harm to her children. Before Rhyana could act, however, her children did, reaching out with the Force and picking Asker up. They slammed him into a building with a show of force and finesse that amazed Rhyana. She had never heard of children with Force powers acting out before they had been born. It was another nail in the coffin that assured her that her children were incredibly gifted with the Force. She worried though, whether or not they were utilizing the Dark side in their attacks and behavior.
Asker survived the attack though and as he got up, Rhyana ignited her lightsaber, telling him that she would never give in and that he and Hauc would never get her children. The two began to duel, and they went back and forth, Rhyana utilizing her training in order to stay alive. Despite that, Asker came close more than once, though she was able to escape with only minor injuries. The children were helping her, aiding her through the Force. They needed to keep their mother going, their survival, at least their survival and growth in the Light Side of the Force depended on it. Finally, Asker decided that he had had enough and fought dirty. Their sabers had locked up numerous times throughout the fight, and always they had broken away or continued to push until one person had been forced to give ground.
But this time, Asker reached out and kicked Rhyana full force in the stomach. Because of how far along she was, the attack hurt her incredibly and because of her connection to the children, she felt the pain through them as well, increasing the amount of damage that it did to her. She was kicked again when she was on the ground, the attack making her drop her saber. All would have been over for Rhyana then and there, if it hadn't been for the timely intervention of Derek. He had felt the Force attack when he had arrived out of hyperspace and he had navigated his way over to where it had been.
Asker charged forward then towards Derek, but Derek had summoned a wave of Force energy and thrown it at Asker, tossing him far away, over buildings. Derek reached out to Rhyana to try to talk to her and get her to return to Onderon with him, but Rhyana refused. Pride took over for Rhyana and the Silserian rose to her feet without the father of her two boys' help. When she had started to walk away, Derek had tried to stop her, but reacted instinctively, throwing Derek backwards with a Force push of her own, though much milder than what he had done to Asker. As Derek had been caught unawares, he was disoriented and Rhyana utilized this to make her escape, heading to the spaceport as fast as she could.
Commenor[]
Rhyana assumed, like anyone else would have, that leaving Commenor would have been easy. A simple trip out of the atmosphere and then once she was clear of the gravity well, she would just have to make the jump to lightspeed. But that wasn't the case. Since Vlan had been tasked by Hauc to obtain her and her children, he had taken the job very seriously. While he had sent Asker down to the surface to try to apprehend her, he was also waiting in system with his personal Victory-class Star Destroyer Mark I. She knew that she wouldn't be able to out run him, as his ship had tractor beam projectors, and fighters which could be used to try to corral her towards the projectors. The ship that she had was good, but it wasn't that good. She herself wasn't the greatest of pilots either.
However, she was helped in her predicament by the timely arrival of Derek on board his vessel, the Rhyarek, though it hadn't been named yet. Rhyana knew that she needed to take advantage of the cover that Derek was giving her. His shots had made the pilots of Korensan's fighters turn their attention to him. Utilizing the time that Derek had bought her, Rhyana quickly calculated a hyperspace route and was gone, headed to Commenor.
She had ignored, up until this point, the amount of pain that she was in. But now, with nothing to do but wait until the ship arrived at Commenor, all that she could do was thinking about it and feel it. Scared that she would suffer a miscarriage, she reached out to her two children through the Force. They spoke to her, telling her that they were a little hurt, but not too much worse for wear. They did tell her that seeing a doctor when they reached Commenor was in order. Sleep overtook Rhyana after this, and she didn't wake until they reached Commenor.

The Force[]
Force Abilities[]
Rhyana Torshey has advanced training in the Force and is currently a Jedi Knight in everything but name. She progressed rapidly through her training, due to her intimate connection with the Force. Her training was conducted mainly through her first master, but much of what he taught her was perfected once she came under the tutelage of her second master, Derek Muir. Her talents do not lie in the physical realm of the Force, though she is able to enhance her physical abilities nearly the same as any other Jedi. Instead, she has incredible prowess in the fields of telepathy and telekinesis.
She currently has access to a literal bottomless well of Force energy thanks to the fact that she is pregnant with Jaidev Muir and Sahaja Muir. Assuming she safely delivers the children, her Force abilities will return to her normal, pre-pregnancy state.
Lightsaber Forms[]
Rhyana has a well built up array of various lightsaber forms on which to call upon should she need to. She has mastered Soresu, though her mastery has been called into question due to her encounters with Vlan Korensan and Morikune. She is nowhere near the level of mastery that Erik Muir was at before he died, but she is able to defend herself well. Also, she is proficient in Makashi and Shien / Djem So, but her ability to utilize these is currently hampered by her pregnancy and her inability to move like she used to.
Before her pregnancy however, she was able to use these forms as well as she could and she has continued her training to the best of her ability despite being pregnant. Her prowess with the lightsaber is not the greatest, but it is something that she and her master Derek Muir have been working on since day one of her apprenticeship with him. She came to him with prior knowledge, mainly of Soresu, so that was what Derek decided to work with the most and get to the highest level possible.
