The Sith Wars era takes place from 4,000 BBY to 3,682 BBY and mainly covers the Great Sith War, the Mandalorian Wars, the Jedi Civil War, the First Jedi Purge, and the Sith Civil War.

Several things happen in Exodus history during this era. The Jade Worlds are founded, Kalja Valie Leidias' exploits against Exar Kun's Sith Empire occur, and Force-using droids are developed on Chisas. Later in the era, the City of the Jedi is founded on the planet Taylon.

It is also the timeframe in the Exodus universe where the last four classical lightsaber forms are introduced and codified - usually as a result of advances in combat.

It's based mostly on the Old Sith Wars era in official media.

  • The Great Sith War marks the start of the Sith Wars.
  • Form IV: Ataru is developed to counter the mobility of the Mandalorian Crusaders and their Basilisk War Droids.
  • Shien is developed as a more aggressive variant of Form III: Soresu.
  • A group of religious pilgrims flee to the Unknown Regions and settle the Jade Worlds.
  • The Galactic News Network rises to prominence as the most watched news channel on the HoloNet.

• 3,999 BBY
  • Kalja Valie Leidias helps to stop a splinter group of Aing-Tii Monks from joining Exar Kun. She is given the Mystic Aura by the monks as a gift for her service.

• 3,997 BBY
  • Kalja Valie Leidias sacrifices her life to prevent the Schrai from joining Exar Kun's army. Her spirit survives.

• 3,996 BBY
  • Droids capable of using the Force are developed on Chisas.
  • The Great Sith War ends.

• 3,980 BBY
  • The City of the Jedi is constructed on the planet Taylon and the Council of Kora is formed.

• 3,976 BBY
  • The Mandalorian Wars begin.

• 3,963 BBY
  • The Siege of Taris occurs.
    • Lanlia Leidias joins the Revanchists in their campaign against the Mandalorians.
  • Form V: Shien / Djem So is completed as a form by the Revanchists to more effectively deal with the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders and the Mandalorian Knights. After seeing its effectiveness, the form is soon recognized by the Jedi Order.

  • Form VI: Niman is developed by the Jedi Order as an alternative to the aggressive Form V.
  • Form VII: Juyo is created as an offshoot of Form V by members of the Revanchists that want to focus even more on offense.

  • The Mandalorian Wars end.

  • The Jedi Civil War begins.

  • The First Jedi Purge is initiated.
    • Darth Nihilus attacks Fresia to kill Lanlia Leidias and her family.
    • Lanlia is able to distract Nihilus long enough for her family to escape, but she is killed by the Sith Lord.
    • Fresia is abandoned after Nihilus's attack by the few surviving colonists.

  • The First Jedi Purge is ended.
