The Srraka, also known as a Srraka Blade, was a melee weapon used by the Xen'Chi Chosen during the Xen'Chi War and were meant exclusively to combat Jedi and other Force-users. The blade was able to fully resist lightsabers and was curved to allow for more brutal killing efficiency during combat.
The effectiveness of the Srraka design saw the creation of a variant of the weapon that was used by the Xen'Chi Dominion's Warrior caste, however these blades were made of cheaper materials and couldn't stop a lightsaber.
During the war, both varieties of Srraka found their way into non-Xen'Chi hands, most notably the Mandalorian Protectors, who appreciated the craftmanship of the blades. At the war's end, many Mandalorians kept Srrakas as trophies and some even implemented them into their standard arsenal.
Due to the rarity of Srrakas after the defeat and collapse of the Xen'Chi Dominion, many fakes have found their way onto the black market posing as the real thing. In many cases, these blades are either the much more common Warrior-caste variant or complete forgeries designed to fool undiscerning shoppers.
