- "Sysen has so much of you in him, Tulsar. He is his father's son."
- — Falanis Leidias
Sysen Leidias was the son of Tulsar and Falanis Leidias and the older brother of Kalja Sairu Leidias. Despite the fact that his sister outclassed him in power and skill in the Force at a much younger age, he was always very supportive of her - although he'd still tease her for her eccentricities.
His own potential as a Jedi was growing before his family encountered a Darksider known as Sivter. He ended up being a victim of Sivter, who killed Sysen in his sleep as an act of revenge against Tulsar for thwarting his plans on Juoi.
Sysen's name would live on long after his death. Tulsar would use the Kasha lightsaber crystal from his son's lightsaber as one of the components to create a dual-phase lightsaber known as "Falsyn" (a combination of "Falanis" and "Sysen") and eventually used it to stab Sivter through the heart.
In addition to recording her late brother's exploits into the Leidias Family Holocron, Kalja would also pass down stories of Sysen to her children. In 41 ABY, when the Darksider Malichor attempted to trap Kalja's daughter inside a mental illusion, he used the memories of these stories to craft a reality in which Sysen was still alive.
