The T1-B Hovertank is a tank that was used by the Rebel Alliance during the early stages of the Galactic Civil War and continues to see use after its reorganization into the New Republic. The vehicle is one of several designs that was acquired by the Alliance from a splinter group within Yutrane-Trackata. It is now being manufactured under the banner of the Republic Engineering Corporation.
The T1-B serves the purpose of a "swift-moving anti-infantry and anti-aircraft weapons platform". One notable advantage is that the tank is equipped with energy shields in addition to its light armor. These don't last long in combat, but keep it safe for several shots from lightly armed enemy vehicles.
