The TIE Aggressor is a ship derived from the same testing that developed the TIE Advanced x1. The wings of the Aggressor are bent, which would later be seen again with the TIE Interceptor, Avenger, and Defender models. The rear deck of the Aggressor is reduced from the Advanced x1 in width to reduce weight and provide the ship with enhanced maneuverability.

The ship is armed with a pair of chin-mounted laser cannons complimented by two missile launchers and has a gun turret mounted on the rear giving the Aggressor firepower needed to protect itself from pursuers. It can fire only from the rear and upper fire arcs leaving a very distinct blind spot for weapons coverage from below.

The ship performance wise is not much better than the original TIE Line Fighter and the Aggressor never saw widespread production due to greater advancements in starfighter technology over the years. Some Imperial commanders are still known to use it, thanks to its capabilities being relatively unknown due to its rarity. This is further enhanced by many of these starfighters being upgraded with shields and a hyperdrive, to bring it more in line with the Advanced x1.

With better performance than the common TIE Line Fighter, and a nasty surprise for any starfighter that tries to attack it from behind, the Aggressor is not a starfighter to be underestimated.
