Old stuff[]
WTF? someone needs to remove this page right now. This is a form of blatent rippping off I'v never seen before of Space Marines from Games Workshop's VERY MUCH COPYWRITED Warhammer 40,000. Come on, this is weak.
- The images are indeed from Warhammer 40K, but the content is not. Jag is not claiming rights to any of the pictures he's used, everything is under fair use. You've been banned for removing content from a page. If you're seeing this message on another computer, then discuss your objections here first. --Halomek 23:34, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
- Whoever the above guy is he kinda had a point. GW is VERY agressive about their copywrited stuff and I've suggested to Jag (about a month or two ago) that he get rid of it but I think legaly we are in the clear so meh. --Halcyon508
- It's up to Jag right now. If we get a notice from GW though, we'll take it down without delay. --Halomek 20:31, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
- First off, it's copyRIGHTED, not copywrited. And secondly, why are everyone going after me? Everyone and their mother are using copyrighted material, yet I am the only one who is persecuted for it. But fine, I'll remove all pictures belonging to GW. --Jagtai 06:59, 7 September 2008 (UTC)
- I might be wrong, since I know very little of 40k and what not, but perhaps it has something to do with the combination of the pictures as well as the Droptroopers' descriptions?--Mir 07:58, 7 September 2008 (UTC)
- Nobody is going after you, Jag. That first comment was not from someone from Exodus (at least, I'm pretty sure it wasn't). As far as I'm concerned, unless we get a notice from GW, the choice is up to you to use those images. --Halomek 18:16, 7 September 2008 (UTC)
- The only reason I mention it is because literaly its in the sheet they give you upon hiring you to look out for things like this and report it to the company (one of the examples they use is Casting of their material). As I said I don't think its Illegal I just think GW is a jerky company when it comes to things like this. I mean for goodness sake they basicaly ask employee's to be spies! --Halcyon508
- I know, Halomek, but it seems that every time there is a copyright problem, it's me. I can't be making that many mistakes, honestly! Anyway, it wasn't aimed at anyone in particular, just me acting out. I've started using Heromachine images (at least until someone tells me that's illegal too), until I get around to making some myself. That seems to be the only way one can be sure to legally use images these days. --Jagtai 20:05, 7 September 2008 (UTC)
