Trieron is a Mid Rim world covered in cool oceans and glacial continents. It is the third planet in the Veron system.
It was a research planet, known as the location for the Sab Rufo Academy, Metharg's University, and UnitedChem/SoroSuub University. It was also home to an underwater Cult of Light enclave. However, a Cult of Shadow team, led by the Dark Lord Arksis Nan, infiltrated the planet as part of the cult’s plan to eliminate all traces of the Cult of Light.
They were successful in completing their primary mission of wiping out the Cult of Light enclave but Arksis, raised on the arid world of Ryloth, was hateful of being forced to endure the cold planet. He ordered the elimination of everyone on Trieron to find a measure of satisfaction. In a few short hours, the Cult of Shadow had slaughtered the entire populace, razed the academies, and left the ruins to be reclaimed by the planet.
The Cult of Shadow has since shown no further interest in Trieron.
