Tyrek Blackthorne was Varys Blackthorne's brother. Unlike his brother, Tyrek fell to the Dark Side of the Force and joined the Sith Empire during the Great War. He declared his brother, along with the rest of the Jedi, his enemies, and went on a relentless quest to destroy the Order.

At some point during the war, however, Tyrek was slain by his brother, after a failed attempt to redeem him.
