The Xen'Chi Clawcraft, better known simply as the Xen'Chi Starfighter, is visually similar the Chiss Ascendancy's Nssis-class Clawcraft, but is a sleeker, more angular version that represents the differences between the two species. It serves as the primary starfighter of the Xen'Chi Dominion and is as seemingly ubiquitous to it as the TIE Fighter is to the Empire.
Xen'Chi Clawcraft are faster and more heavily armored than the Nssis-class, able to quickly enter a battle and take a substantial amount of punishment. Furthermore their armament of four plasma cannons helps give them an edge over the laser cannons used by most other starfighter types. This comes at a price, however, as the Xen'Chi Clawcraft is not as maneuverable as a Nssis and lacks a hyperdrive. To the fanatical Xen'Chi, this isn't seen as a weakness as all warriors are expected to fight a battle to the very end.
